Title: metal suppliers in calgary
Post by: hps4evr on December 05, 2010, 09:35:36 PM: did a little searching, not sure where to go.
looking for a place that supplies steel plate, angle and tubing. that sort of stuff. the one i knew of closed not long ago. NE or SE is closer to me and thats better i guess.

Post by: raf2379 on December 06, 2010, 12:05:26 AM: federal metals, $0.30 per/lb for scrap plate steel. its all in the back south corner. i picked up some nice 1/4", 3/16", and 1/8" plates. they have lots of angle and square tubing too.

Raff means Federal.

Metal supermarket should only be used at a last resort, saturday afternoon supplier. Their prices are easily 4-5 times that of regular metal suppliers.
