I am stepping up to lead the Boxing Day run for this year! it will be a quick run to the falls in waiparous if there is enough interest, so please only post up if you are serious.
This will be a Sunday run!!!
Nonmembers, This will count as an officially lead trail run, a requirement for member ship in the CJA.
The minimum requirements for this run will be as follows:
- 31" or bigger MT or AT tread, if in doubt PM me ( MUST BE IN GOOD SHAPE if unsure take pics and send to me).
- Proper tow points front and rear, stock tow points, aftermarket or aftermarket bumpers with recovery points.
- Full size spare also in good shape.
- Waivers will have to be signed by any non members present.
- Valid drivers license and insurance for anyone who plans to drive.
- Enough food and water for every person in your vehicle for one day.
- Full tank of gas, filling up in Cochrane is a good idea.
- Mechanically sound jeep, please make sure your jeep is trail ready.
Highly recommended stuff:
- CB radio.
- Recovery gear.
- Warm clothes and a change of clothes.
- Full jerry can of gas.
- sway bar disco's. (unless you have no swaybar)
- Tool kit, you never know what might break on the trail.
I also need members to volunteer for tail gunner and middle, and also perhaps to lead a second group if the initial group grows too big.
Attending:
Pookapotamus (Dana) Trail leader
Mhernden
Comanche runner

Might be able to run mid or tail for you... will check with the boss and see what the work schedule is like.
In-Laws' Family Boxing Day Get Together.... I am out.
-
I'll be there.
Been looking forward to this run for a while. Will have some family in town for the holidays... so should have a few passengers with me.
-
I am interested in coming out for this ride, dependent on what the boss has planned. I would be bringig my two hooligans as well.
My Rubi is still stock……this going to be a relatively easy run? I haven't been out in a couple years so I am a wee rusty. That and the new Rubi only has 500km on it :)
-
yes this will be a light run that your new rubi will be just fine on.
but with ice you never know! ;)

Seems to me I remember some ice at McLean that was a little tricky..............especially after a certain someone cracked it when he went over.....needless to say my journey across it was somewhat less successful. :o
-
McLean is closed for the season. This run is in Waiparous on some trails you haven't been on yet Shawn. And there are some icy spots there too.
-
Just ordered up a nice set of diamond chains from TireChain.com. Should arrive before this run. Bring on the ice!
-
I'll run tailgunner for you I plan on picking up a new CB next week
what time? and meeting place?

Crap looks like I am out for this one, I have been told we are having guests and that me arriving home after dark and tired after a day of wheeling is not exactly what she has in mind.
I am going to do the Jan 1 Run though
-
unfortunately i am going to have to bail on this run, :( family plans have changed. Aaron if you want to lead instead of tail gunning please do so.
