So the blinker went on my Jeep this week. In what could only be described as an act of stupidity...I got a new one from the dealer ... for $55 bucks.
So then I was going to replace it...but the old one doesn't work...and I was trying to figure where the old one was located. The last time I replaced one of these things (back in the 70's) I just manovered my body into a position to look under the dash and replaced it.
I'm thinking that vehicles must have shrunk. Anybody have any tips on where I would find that  ... It's way easier if you have a working one that clicks when you turn on the signal light.
thanks

I believe it's behind the glovebox...I haven't had a TJ for a while though...
Undo the strap to the right that holds it in place and remove the door by pulling it all the way down. It should be right in front of you.

Thanks for the tip I found it. They obviously want it installed at the dealer. Even with the part in my hand ...and looking directly at the old blinker I could hardly see it.
