Title: JK flat fender flares
Post by: pudge79 on January 31, 2011, 03:20:32 PM
I know there's not many guys running JK's on here but figured I would ask anyway. Is anyone running flat flares, what brand and your opinions on them. Thanks!

Bushwackers seem to be one of the most popular from what I have seen (they also have a mail-in-rebate offer on right now).  I don't know what kind of clearance the others claim to, but with some trimming of the pinch seam in the front of the rear wheel well you can apparently fit 35" tires with Bushwackers.

The other option is to mod your factory flares into flat flares...if you haven't seen it, there is a writeup on project-jk.com.

Modifying the fenders is where I went;

That actually looks really good. Curious on what size of tires those are and if you have a lift or not?

No lift, with 1.5" spacers, stock rims and 315/70/R17's

I really like that, do you have some more shots?

I am specifically interested on what you did for liners in the rear wheel wells?

Thanks.

I'll clean it up and take some more pictures but this is from the same day as that other picture.

The inner fenders I cut back so they just cover the insides but that might not make sense so please stand by for pictures.

Oh found another one here.
