Hey all, so I have a 2000 Jeep TJ 4.0L Sport.. Me and my friend Nich pulled the engine last night and sadly the transmission bell housing was broken beyond repair.. So now I'm trying to find what other options I have for transmissions to replace it.. Nich (4Banger_Madness) talked about a ** as the strongest replacement, and giving me a 6th gear for highway driving which would be nice when I regear my diff's.. Or is the NV4500 a better option? I've never really done much to transmissions so its all kind of new to me
** Apparently the transmission isn't a NV 5600.. Its either a NV 3600 or NV 3650

Why not just get another bellhousing?

The transmission is damaged already (without pulling it apart we don't know how bad yet) but the center shaft moves around a lot

:o :o WOW you want to install a transmission that is designed for Cummings power and weighs over 450 lbs. :o Why not just get another NV3550?

I just want a strong transmission that will hold up well to 4x4ing.. Like I said I don't really know to much about them or the models, I just go off what others are telling me haha

it'll hold up all right....... but you'll basically be bolting your transfer case to the rear diff......... not good for driveline vibes.....
its like 31" long or something like that, and twice as heavy.....

Nich accidentally said the wrong number he says it's something more like a nv 3600 or 3650 sorry
