I swear I thought we were lost we came up into four corners and I thought we had pulled into a Safeway parking lot (not for gas mind you)
Up on the bank was a whole gaggle of minivans :o :o

Who woulda thunk it.

The strangest thing I ever saw at 4 corners was an RCMP checkstop.

Mitsubishi RH Drive 4x4 vans from overseas, I was wondering when someone would take them out wheeling.
-
That is the only minivan I have ever ever wanted. And I really want one... :o
-
saw a couple of those at maclean last year on like 35's haha looked rather topheavy
-
Thus reminding us of the old saying "just because you can, doesnt mean you should"
-
I beg to differ. Just because someone doesn't drive a jeep doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. These things have been around for a long while...we're just catching on over here.
Besides....it's only a couple of steps before all the Cherokee guys upgrade to one. :D

*facepalm*
I happen to be a Cherokee guy, and most of those that have seen my rig will say Im already topheavy enough. Therefore I have NO need to upgrade from my stationwagon to a minivan ;)
It is refreshing to see that JK though in the one picture, just as a safety measure.

I don't know how safe that makes them.............that was my JK :P

You got your JK that close, without spooking them :o
Impressive! :D

LMAO. All in good fun. In all seriousness, though....I wonder how much torque those things push out?

i do not know but i am sure like their brother the Pajero, they all run 4.88 0r 5.13 gears stock from the factory.
-
The chassis is based off the Pajero and has like 100 different engine variations depending on the year. Most of the ones in the picture would be either 2.5L/2.8L turbo diesel or 2.4/3.0L gas. You're right about the gear ratio the last one I saw was running 4.88 stock.
Oh and they are not only 4wd with high and low range but they also have a factory locker :o
-
By locker you surely mean like a gym locker inside it, for your jacket and canned goods... Those things are hideous! They are almost like the old V-dub Westfalias but not as campy...
-
Who cares. Those are not even remotely designed for our type of terrain

I would say the same thing if you sent me a pic of 5 commanders headed to the lake. I dont care if jeep, or jesus himself builds a vehicle, some of them are practical for use on our recreational trail systems, and some are not.
There's "to each his own" which I know all you hippies are so fond of around here, and then theres just plain stupid.

Brings to mind WWJD. What would jesus drive?
My bet is probably an XJ, and not a minivan. Of course not a TJ as it would be far too cold for the robes and sandals in winter. The XJ would also assumably be red.
I could of course be wrong, and said gaggle of minivans may very well have been a church group, far far away from where they really should have been for the day...

Maybe they got confused and followed the other orange coloured minivan...I mean JK...there ;D

They look like some kind of "Bullet"

I agree Dom....but wth did you post for a picture?

Darcy.... this is Dom. Do you really want to know? Do you really want confirmation that Dom's bowels really look like that?
-
It actually does look like some sort of direction on how to use a chinese suppository..

OHHH DEAR GOD.
Ive never seen a Chineese man go XJ red. Until today.
I can see how you have drawn your conclusion to those vans though, but in all honesty, I still find my jeep to be just as stimulating, and with enough speed and vibrations (from the drive line of course) it also provides escalating levels of intensity! ....
