Not sure how much time I will have, but I'm heading there on the 9th. Any pointers on places to eat, see, etc. would be great. :)
-
It's a big city, where are you staying?
-
Right downtown off the Oakland Bay bridge.
-
I spent the better part of 6 months down there.
Most of it was at the airport so I didn't get out a whole bunch
Do the tourist thing,
China town, the golden gate, fisherman's wharf.
You are almost within walking distance to most of it.
Eat the sourdough bread, warm it is soooo good
-
Alcatraz would be cool
-
and of course... Alcatraz!!
Fisherman's Wharf is nice to spend about a 1/2 day just strolling around.
Have fun Darcy!!!

Thanks, going there for work, so we'll see if I can fit in Alcatraz. :)

Alcatraz is definitely worth seeing.
And while touristy the Wharf is very cool.
There are a ton of great restaurants from the crazy upscale to steaming hot crab from sidewalk vendors.
Union square is also interesting but more if you are shopping, although I love the old architecture of the sandstone buildings there.
If you have time going across to Sausilito is a great ferry ride as well as the Spinnaker right at the ferry terminal has some of the best seafood and views in the whole bay area (in my opinion)
Damn I miss San Francisco.
-
and of course... Alcatraz!!
Man, you sure are slow...
-
by 34 seconds....
I sorry Vince.
