Anyone know where I can find an Optima Blue top (deep cycle Marine) ?
They are getting really hard to find.

Try bass pro at the cross iron mall.

hmm, I guess they'd use them for fishing motors.

What about yellow tops ? Who sells those ?

Try to check the shelf time Ken. Supposedly if they sit for to long, thats what leads to them failing prematurely.

Hmm, OK, thanks Bill
that might explain why I've got one good one and the other one can't hold a charge.

I have mostly optimas, but that mainly for a lack of much else to run. Im really not a fan of them. They dont last very long for me.

I've been having great success with the CT rebranded Exide Orbital Deep Cycle/Starter combo marine batteries.  They used to be quite a deal.  Not as much these days.  I've heard other with problems though, so who knows.

I wonder when I see the different results people get if it is problems with their charging systems and they just do not know it is happening.  I've found that a panel mount digital voltmeter has gone a long way to help see whether things are charging properly quickly.
