well vote and comment on your team. i know there are lots of Flames fans but you guys can vote for your second favorite team. so far the hockey has been great. nothing like playoff hockey! ;D

And squirt off the American Broadcasters due to lost TV advertisement revenue. They researched it years ago and figured the lost revenue would be in the billions because American viewers would drop drastically if it were 2 CDN teams in the playoffs.

Vancouver.
Not many other teams have the depth and the discipline of the Canucks. And unlike a dump & chase or a trap team they are also fun to watch. I think it will be a very entertaining road to the cup.

Eff em, they got the b-ball playoffs going on. I'm sure you've heard the stat that says 1/3 of the NHL's revenue comes from the Canadian teams which make up 1/5 of the league. There's some great American markets and American teams but there are also a few that make me almost hate what the NHL is today.

i will say that reffing has been brutal and inconsistent in many series for BOTH teams playing. i do not get it. Call stuff that should NEVER be called and than let stuff that SHOULD be called not.
Frustrating to watch.
And another thing. Whats with CBC and not having a clock showing time left in powerplays?
Ridiculous.
Good to see NYR win. Too bad Chi town couldn't get it done.

My bf is a DIE HARD Canucks fan but I won't be jumping on the Canucks bandwagon. There is just something about Vancouver Canucks fans that irritates me. Oh right....maybe it's because every time I have gone to the dome for a Calgary/Vancouver game, the canuck fans get right in my face. They are lucky i didn't punch them out.
I would like to see a Montreal/Vancouver final for sure!

flames fan all the way no matter what you have to stick with your team. no bandwagon jumping here. If canucks continue playing good and lou doesent choke they might just do it. I still think the wings will take them in 7 games.

Flames are #3 on my depth chart. i am Canuck neutral. i dont like Loooseroungo but if they make it to the Finals and its not against Philly than i would cheer them. i can not EVER cheer for Montreal to win a Cup.
Teams i want to see go out first round...Pitt, Wash and Montreal. Hate them all. ;D

If the question was, who do you want to win the cup? and 14 answered Canucks than i might have to razz a tad more.
i will state that if the Flyers can't get to the Cup, than i do not want ANY team from the East winning.

You must have a short memory.
Flames beat Edmonton and St.louis both in the 7th game in 86 en route to their first Cup appearance.
In 88 they beat the Canucks in game 7. They then went on to win the Cup.
In 94 they again beat Vancouver in 7.
So, maybe you might PRAY that Vancouver follows Calgary's footsteps, but you are missing one thing Calgary has always had...goaltending. lol.

94 refers to the 94/95 season ;) You are referring to 93/94 when you beat them in 7.

i will say that even if Van advances they are no Cup finalist. They quit when they fall behind.
And i guess the NHL put the word out to make sure Montreal and Vancouver advance as the penalties were stacked against their opponents. Calls let go were ridiculous. The final penalty against Chicago? ridiculous considering Keler boarded Kane with no call.

like i have said before, this is the worst reffing of first round plyoffs i have ever seen. All teams have been shafted. Tonight, Boston and Chicago were shafted a tad more. i think BOTH penalty shots called were ridiculous.
i also believe that before OT started, the refs realized they blew it with Kessler who could have been given 5mins and a game but got nothing so they come out and call a lame penalty against Vancouver it OT of Game 7. BRUTAL!

man these refs are so inconsistent. they call garbage, and miss the big ones (kane was cut after being hit from behind but no call - pathetic) this reffing is atrocious. its not that i dont like this type of hockey - its the old school hockey - the real hockey. but then dont change it to pansy touch hockey if youre not going to call it..........and now van wins.

Well, Vancouver advances and are no longer a Cup contender favorite. Like the Flyers, goaltending will be the achilles heel.
Unlike Philly, Vancouver quits when down a few goals (game 4 and 5). They need to get some fire in their belly when the going gets tuff. The sisters totally quit in both of those games.

clutching, grabbing, and slashing wont work againts nashvile. i wonder how much Gillis paid to advance to second round. i mean the fine he got :P
