Title: Extending Truck Wheelbase

Looking at extending the wheelbase of a non-commercial Ford F 250/350 truck from stock to install a 20'+ cube. Does this need special government inspection or just safety inspection from local garage.

So it's best just to buy a vehicle already with a long frame for hauling.

I was aiming towards a frame extension on a 4x4, because the 4x4 conversion on a long frame 2wd vehicle is a ton of work.
And extending the frame rails has a little fab work, with little fab tools I will be aiming towards a cheap motor home or bus.
