I am not sure if I should ask but here is my question. I just bought a Garmin 60CSX GPS and I am looking to buy the Garmin TOPO US maps. I have searched the internet for an answer with no luck. Maybe somebody on this site knows the answer if they use the 60CSX with US TOPO maps. What is the difference between the latest TOPO US 100K maps (DVD version) with the black label and the TOPO US 2008 with the blue and white label?

I'd suggest either looking at the garmin site, or asking the good folks at gps central.

I did that search already. No luck. Both versions are 100k. One is a older version than the other. As far as I can see the only difference may be the Mapsource and BaseMap program. I am not sure if the data is the same or not. Not 100 % sure. That is why I am asking. Maybe I will call Garmin tomorrow. Hopefully some can tell me.

Ahhh misunderstood the question my bad.
Garmin has renamed there Maps to avoid confusion so essentially the 2008 100k is the same topo as the Topo US 100k
The same was done with the 24k it was called 2008 24k and is now US Topo 24k
