Title: 1998 TJ distributor assembly 4 or 6 cylinder difference?
Post by: teamskilee on May 04, 2011, 06:07:03 PM
Hi everybody,
I need to replace the distributor assembly in my 1998 TJ 4 cylinder. The only assemblies I can find online in the specs for 1998's mention that its for a 6 cylinder. Cant seem to find any that specify for a 4 cylinder.

Does anybody know if the 6 cylinder model will fit and work correctly in a TJ that only has 4 cylinders?

I've included a link to one of the websites.

Any info would help. Thanks.

A 97 4 banger distributor should be fine, but that is weird that a distributor is not listed for the 98-02s
