After the show and shine, there will be a trail run at McLean Creek. This run will be lead by 37sandrunning, with a possible second group that may be lead by WhiteOut.
Requirements are:
-Front and rear recovery points
-Recovery gear (minimum of one good quality recovery strap, no metal hooks)
-Good MT/AT tread tires (minimum size 31" unless previously arranged with trail leader)
-Vehicle in sound mechanical condition
-Full size spare tire
-Basic hand tools
-Extra fluids
-Work gloves and appropriate footwear (work boots or hiking shoes/boots) for driver and winch wenches
-Spare footwear and clothing for everyone in the vehicle
-Ample food and water for everyone in the vehicle
This is likely to be a pretty large crowd of folks, so we may split into multiple groups based on numbers and variety of rig sizes. Trail choice will be based on conditions, rig size, and driver experience level.
Please understand that if your rig and experience level don't meet the requirements of the trail leader, you will not be joining us on this run. If this happens to be the case, simply ask around - there is almost always a shotgun seat available with an experienced wheeler, and you can still enjoy the trail run.
-
I'm in for this one for sure.
-
I don't have MT"s so I won't be driving, but if someone has a spare seat I wouldn't mind tagging along.
-
Are we going to break into gourps and see who able to go or not at the show and shine or down at Mclean? or it is to soon to ask :D.

That is up to the trail leader, but usually something like that will be done at the staging area in Mclean.

Ok thanks for the info, I hope I will fit in one of the groups 8).
-
Blew out a wall on my Muds but ill be there.
Hopefully lockers make up for 31" rugged trails :(
-
If AT's are OK, and there is a stocker friendly group then I will be joining in.
-
I will be in too. Se you guys out there.

Might be a stupid Q.
Is there any restections from the trail leader out there in regards not having front doors on and only the sit belt?
Thanks
Anton
-
I'm not quite sure what you're asking, Anton.
Generally it's not a problem to run without doors - I've never known a trail leader to say that Jeeps need to run with doors.
As far as the belt goes...are you referring to someone using a lap belt only, with no shoulder belt?
-
Sorry, I guess what am trying to ask.
Like for safety u guys want tow hooks front and rear and all that. I was thinking if i have my doors off, if there was a requirement to have something in the door way not just having the sit belt.
Sorry my English in writing is not the best, if it is not clear then no worries.
Thanks again
