Title: JK Mileage
Post by: Yellow RUBI on July 02, 2011, 08:02:39 AM
I'm thinking about trading the Yellow Rubi in on a JK 4door, and I'm wondering what to expect for mileage?
Anyone wanna post up?
Brad

I'm also running oversized tires.. But year they aren't the greatest...  My fiance has a 2010 sahara unlimited and hwy it's closer to 10 I believe.

I'm running 32s on my WK with the new 4.7 and I'm averaging 17.5L / 100k. That is pretty well all city driving and I have a heavy foot.

I decided long ago that I wasn't go to pay all that much attention to mileage on my JK. That said, I generally get MUCH longer range when wheeling/running back roads with guys that have comparably built TJ's. When they're dumping in fuel from their Jerry cans to make it back to the gas station, I'm generally sitting with at least 1/3 of a tank.

Yeah once you start buying Jeeps and wheeling you really have to just stop crunching those number.  They are a pupose built vehicle and mileage isn't it's purpose.

i agree it's not a priority but I track it for the hell of it and I got 18.1 l/100km overall average for the first 6600 km.  Mine is a 2 door with 35's.

I'm in a Sarara JKU with 3.21 gears and 33s. I get about 13 and change for a mix of highway and city driving.
