Title: Chanda
Post by: cher2000 on July 15, 2011, 10:14:30 AM
Hey guys.  I have a 2000 xj with a 3" rustys lift.  The other day I experienced some death wobble at 80km/h after splashing around in the mud.  It went away after I washed up the front end, however my steering feels loose, and the alignment seems off.  I couldnt see anything obviously wrong with the front end, so I am thinking about getting a shop to inspect it.  What are your thoughts of Chanda automotive?  Any help would be appreciated.

I have had nothing but good experiences. Very fair pricing,  get you in quick, and good customer service. I'd highly recommend going to Chanda, for just about any automotive issue with any vehicle you own.

It's pretty hard to get kicked out of that place.

My dog even left him a stinky black banana surprise in the corner, twice!

I think it wasn't until the 3rd or 4th chocolate pickle that she wasn't so welcomed anymore  ;D

Jay rebuilt my axles and installed them for me. Still chasing down a final tweak but he managed to get them finished on rush order so I could have my jeep for an expedition this weekend. I left there at 9pm and he was still finishing up another guys jeep so they could have it for the show and shine (they close at 5pm).

Got a front end inspection and Jay found play in my trac bar and ball joints.  He was honest and respectful.  Shop rates are pretty cheap.

Thanks for the advice fellas.

Any ideas where I should order a good set of moog ball joints?

Since you went to Jay's to get a diagnostic; how about giving them the business? I think he can order some Moog or other brand...he'll get good ones for ya.

Just a thought...

Jay will find what you need.

My jeep's back there right now getting some more work done (not related to the first time). I usually try to do everything myself but when I don't have time due to work that's where it goes.
