because i buy 1500$ vehicles and expect them to run....... my bad.
anyways, 95 ZJ V8. blah blah blah. drove it to work yesterday no issues. jump in to go home, turn the key and....... nothing. no click, no engine turnover. nothin. so, today, i tried to jump it (no luck) tighted down the battery cables. (no dice)
now, all the electrical things in the jeep work just fine. radio/windows etc. battery has juice. tonight i'm gonna start tossin parts at it; start with the battery terminals, clean em and put new connectors on; whats next? starter solenoid?
the only thing that i've done to the jeep was saturday night, we disconnected the factory alarm in the door. but i've driven it 5 times since we did that. so i don't know if that'd be an issue.
ideas are welcome!

Make sure one of your "friends" didn't disconnect another fuse. :o

heh. not a funny trick if they came all the way to work to do that.
they could have bought me dinner first ;)
i'm gonna whack the starter with a hammer.... repeatedly.......

Tap the two posts together on the starter with a screw driver, should turn if starter is good (make sure you are in Neutral) if starter turns then look at your ignition..... just went thru a broken ignition actuator pin on the tj, and it was very similar to your issues.

Could be the Park/Neutral Switch too...

Dave wins.
threw jeep in neutral and it fired right up.
so, how do i go about replacing the neutral safety switch? not that it bothers me. i can just pop it in neutral to start it ;)

There's nothing at all in that statement that indicates why your name is Jackstand Johhny. Really. Northing at all. ;)

Here are the instructions from alldata for you. You would never be able to figure it out without them!
Raise and support vehicle.
Disconnect electrical connector from switch.
Unscrew switch from transmission housing and remove from vehicle.
Reverse procedure to install. Correct transmission fluid level as required, then check back-up lights for proper operation
