Title: Squeaker.
Post by: YoungFluff03TJ on July 22, 2011, 01:24:19 PM
My TJ squeaks and I dont know what it is. As far as I can tell its some suspension issue, as it occurs all the time. Jeep dosnt even have to be running let alone moving, but when I rock it side to side squeak squeak squeak and when i go over bumps squeak squeek squeak. Very annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions/ experience with something like this? I jump under there and I cannot tell where its coming from....it seems like its coming from the coils but I dont see how.. ANY way. any help is appreciated.

I'd say if you don't flex the suspension enough, it becomes stiff and squeaky. My recommendation: wheel the crap out of it

I've been doing a regular schedule of wheelin with mine and its real quiet ;D

if your shocks have rubber shock mounts or grommets, that'd be my guess. Try moving them or squirting some oil on the grommets and see if it goes away.

My sway bar end links squeak all the time. Got sick an tired of replacing them every 2 months when the new ones started to squeak so I just let them make all the noise they want. Thanks RE. Love those squeaky endlinks...

Rubber bushing needs some white lithium grease. Which one? Your guess is as good as mine. Put it on a jack and start wiggling.

X2 undo em next time your wheeling and see if its stops. If it does replace em over and over again or learn to love the squeak.
