Here is one for the hot rod, classic car guys. I am wondering is there a aftermarket/stand along cruise control system out there. I am thinking I want one for the MJ and the stock vacuum crap is too far gone. I would be much easier and nicer to just replace it all. I do not want the throttle cable only set up ether. I have one in my XJ. It will only set the throttle position and not adjust for changing road conditions.
Thank You

I installed one of these on a 50s chevy truck once and it worked great. http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=48/category_id=477/home_id=-1/mode=prod/prd48.htm might need to call them to see about if itll work on the jeep.

Google -universal cruise control- Theres some on ebay and i would think a lot of the local parts stores have universal type right from switch to vacum lines. If your good at the soder gun you could get a nice switch that fits in the steering wheel or something also. Good luck keep us posted with this mod.

If I could rip mine out and give it to ya I would. Besides ABS... cruise is my next pet peave in a vehicle.

I saw one at crappy tire for about 10 bucks. its a shovel. then you cut the handle and wedge'r between the seat and gas peddle. want to go faster? put some cloth between the seat and the broom handle! gives ya two feet to dance around with or whatever one might do whilst driving. :D
seriously though dont follow this advice.
