I have one and it's awesome. No complaints at all other than it weighs more than a normal one and pull my mic mount off... It's adhesive.

If you mean the 75WXst - I like it too. I don't mind the weight, but others have said I come through clear but weak (I assume compared to others). Mine seems to transmit at 2 watts, according to my SWF/power output meter. I wish I knew how to boost the output to 4 watts.
One thing to note, it doesn't have a gain/boost control.

I like mine, it does all I need it to do. Plus it takes up almost no room and I don't have a big ugly CB mounted in my JK. If you get another control box ( the mic connects to it) you can swap the handset between vehicles. The only complaint I have is its fairly quite and you need to turn it up fairly loud to hear it, but if you use a external speaker I've been told its not to bad.

It's served SilverTJ, rubibego and myself quite well - although they haven't seen much use this summer. :)
==> Just realized that ours are actually the Midland 75-822. Man it's been too long since I've used it.
External audio to the input on my stereo works well.

They're compact and they work okay. You may find that the wires going from the handset to the junction box are smaller than most CB mic wires, which makes them more susceptible to breaking at the connectors...but that's an easy fix (happened to me). I did find that an external speaker was absolutely mandatory - using just the internal speaker on the handset, I thought it sounded like Charlie Brown's teacher.

Yes - I agree completely, an external speaker is absolutely necessary. I went with just the built in speaker for a while and had trouble hearing (my mic hangs close to my head from the roll bar). The external speaker made all the difference.

I've never owned one, but I've heard plenty of good stuff about the Midland too.

I have got a nice basic Uniden Pro 510XL and it is plenty loud in the cab, small and has been nothing but reliable. They are very cheap to buy as well. The link below is the kit I bought, however I wouldn't reccomend getting it as the brokerage kills the deal

I've seen two of them fail. One right out of the box so it was warrantied. If you just want to talk to the person in front/behind you they are fine.
My thinking though is that if you need a remote speaker then you may as well just install a real radio where ever it fits, run a remote speaker on it and a long mic cord.
