what tranny comes in a 93 grand cherokee 4.0  with a auto .. is it a AW4

damn that sucks .  i was hoping i would have a tranny for sale by saturday ..

well im going to go pull the starter and Tcase and drive shafts off it . if anyone else wants anything from it let me know

If it was an early '93 it MAY have an AW4. Otherwise 42rh.

Easy way to tell is if its an AW4 the gear shifter will have a shared 1-2 position. A 42rh will have a dedicated position for 1 and 2 each.

it was  a AW4

it was also a 231 tcase

but its all gone now . sorry guys . should of emailed me .       but i got a freshly rebuild pats drive line drive shaft :)  score   bran new alternator and a alpine cd player for FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

oh and a 60 month old battery
