Title: Wanna see a building blow up?

This Sunday at 8:00am, they will be imploding the large grain tower building over by bonnybrook wastewater treatment plant right next to that shingle factory that kept catching fire.

My wife is an operator there and they were told that they would have to steer clear that day.

There will be a public viewing for it (so we are told).  And the building comes down at 8:00am sharp!  Deerfoot will be closed between 8:00 and 8:10.

Figured seeing as we all drive jeeps we must love things that blow up:)

i parked and watched a little while they were ripping down some of the buliding. that machine with the big claw on the end was amazing to watch.

Driving by that for the last few months watching them nibble away at it... I always wondered why didnt they just blow the damn thing up. Im guessing its a good thing thats not my job.

i too thought the same. The nibbling took forever. And seeing as they are blowing it up anyway, they should have done it all.
