Does anyone know who in Calgary sells LED lightbars?
I was looking at the small 2"x2" square ones that Rigid has or maybe a few 1"x4" if they exist. Something along those sizes.
Thanks.

As long as you are ok with them not working during winter up here, than led's are great.
i know National has some good selections. Can not remember if they are Rigid. The best price i found was on Amazon.com not.ca but you could check both for comparison.

My LEDs work great in winter. I got the VisionX from National.
-
What is the issue with them in the winter?
-
Interesting that yours work. It was the Rigid X ones that i wanted from National and i was told in the cold, they do not work as the LED produces no heat, so the lens covering them ices up.
ok, now i need to ggogle it. It is why i never bought them.

So the lens covering them ices up.
I'm sure that's an issue if you're driving at highway speed dealing with snow/sleet/freezing rain...but HID's would be likely to have the same issue. For off-road use, LED's will probably work just fine. The ones that I have mounted have been fine so far this year, but they haven't seen real winter yet.

The larger LEDs used in these light bars definitely produce heat. That's why if you're buying just a stand alone 10w star LED is recommends an aluminum heatsink on the to dissipate the heat.

My son is running the ridge 2x2 on his CJ and they worked fine the other day when we went out to play. The temp at the time was -27, it was trail riding so maybe that helps not sure. I am looking at the 10" that would fit just right on top of the fairlead.
-
we can get them in at evo... but damn for the price u might as well bring your own lube cause they aint...
the mog buggy has a 4 ft one on it from rigid...
-
its good to hear some of the cold stories. One of the guys at National runs them as a daily driver (Vision X) and he said that he had problems last winter.
It is why i did not buy any.

"One of the guys at National" also told me that I should get a longarm kit when I told him I wanted to lift my JK 3 inches. ;D
-
Either going with the 2" and keep my KC lights or 4" and no KC lights. I think Modern, Evolution and National are the only places in town that have them.
-
JB Power centre sells them. Not sure if they would have the best prices, I have no idea what a good price is on these.
Here is a link to their flyer

I've got some Vision X S4100's on my bumper. Due to the design if the snow is blowing they will get covered and there's not enough heat to get the snow off the lens. I do have some Rigid Dually D2's on the windshield pillars and they do get warm enough to keep them clear. I did just get some covers for the D2's and I think that will help a lot. I have also just ordered some Dually amber for my fogs.
I did ordered my Rigid's out of Miami... got a better price than what I could in town.

i hear ya...but he runs them and he experienced the problem. i make many night time trips south on 22 to sgo ski. i needed a light that actually works, all the time.
Again, he was speaking of Vison X, not Rigid and i was looking at the size that would fit inside the factory dodge foglight spot.
i should have been more concise. ;)
