Title: Step up
Post by: nicksharding on December 05, 2011, 05:12:11 PM
I saw this really neat step that fitted in the tow bar slot on a jeep and allowed you to stand on it to access the top of the jeep.   Any ideas where I can get hold of one in Calgary?
Thanks
Nick.

I stand on my tire to put the boards off and on.... putting a step on and taking it off seems like it would get annoying.

Oh come on Knox. He'll be able to find a ladder within the first half hour. He is a journeyman plumber, after all.

wth would he need a ladder for? everything is under the sink or the toilet  at ground level already...

also as to be of slight value to this thread...
I built in a step into my rear bumper.

...now I realize this is of absolutely zero help to the OP, but I do step on it from time to time just because I can.

Ya im dead serious about wanting one if can build another... dont much care about the step but I do tow a trailer and the step looks like a good reinforcment.

I think Knox has lost all his fancy-schmancy tools he used to build this one.

That's what I was thinking, :) I'd personally love to build another but I can't at the moment (see below)

I think Knox has lost all his fancy-schmancy tools he used to build this one.

...that is correct :(

I got to spend my last afternoon in the shop today, Auction is Wednesday, Viewing is Tuesday. Very sad about this

When I get around to updating my build thread, I'll be posting plans for both the front and the rear if you want to make your own.
