Title: k5 trans leak

so i have been thinking about picking up a friends lifted blazer for a while but before i pony up the cash and bring her home i need to figure out a tranny leak. It seems to be leaking between the trans and the t-case. i have heard there is a paper like gasket there that is known to leak. any truth to this? anything else i should look for? i know the trans was working as we moved it around in the summer and it hasnt been started since.

Depending on the year and trans.
A 700R4 has a square cut O-Ring

Never done a K5 but the t-case will need to come off and then its either a seal on the tranny output or a gasket between the tranny and t-case.
