I need to have some U-bolts made, does anyone know of a place that does it here in Calgary?
Also I need center pins for my leaf springs and some of those metal things that wrap around the leaf packs to keep them together. do I just measure them or shoud a take the leaf pack some where to get it done?
I wasn't thinking when I statred my lift the other night, I had longer U-bolts for the add a leaf, but forgot about the 2" lift block...lol
Has any one put lift blocks in there cherokee before if so I noticed that mine are slightly tapered on one end does this go towards the front or the back, also the blocks didn't really seem to fit in the little hole on the perch, has any one ever had that problem? after waiting 2 months for them from national 4wd I hope they didn't give me the wrong ones :?

I'd just go to Standens, take one of the old ones in with you and let them know what you need.

standens kicks @$$!
there's nothing that they won't do, suspension wise, but there's a few things i'd limit myself to, including a lowering, *puke*

where is this place located?

There is a place up by the Harly Davidson shop near the airport, they made them for me while I waited, took about 10 minutes. Can't remember the name, maybe someone else knows this one????

Can't just get u-bolts from canadian tire? They have a wide assortment on the shelf there. Standes is on 58 Ave and 12 Street SE (near Blackfoot Inn)

Standens can make you u-bolts while you wait, they also have center pins and the leaf pack clamps you need. Get the center bolts way longer than what you actually need. Makes putting the pack back together easier.
The block is tapered to help with pinion angle, put the skinny part to the front, it will tilt the pinion up and hlep reduce vibes(just like a shim). Yes the button on it is too big for the hole in the spring perch, either grind the button down or drill the spring perch bigger.
I hope your block is smaller than 1", more than that is bad on an XJ.
