well from what i read   ill just pull it all out and   since i already have a check engine light on . for my crack sensor   it wont bother me if it stays on because i got rid of the whole evap system

are both valves on the tank roll over valves ??

don't quote me, but i'm about 90% sure they are both roll over valves.

When I replaced the tank on my MJ with a fuel cell  I just put a hose with with fuel filter as a breather  on to the evap port thus eliminating the canister.

This is a common trick but search the web on how to route the hose in case of a roll over.  There is a detailed description on Pirate but thier site is down for maintance.
