I have a vibration somewhere in my jeep that is still there but less severe in 4wd (to the point where it's hard to tell it's there). It starts in second gear (or really high rev 1st) and continues up into highway speeds. During no load (between acceleration and deceleration) it appears to go away.
So far everything seems to be nice and tight. I disconnected the front drive shaft and it's still there, haven't taken the back one off yet but the fact that it seems to get better with 4wd makes me question if I can even notice the difference when it's disconnected or not.
Ideas?

Take both driveshafts off and drive around, this will help to pinpoint your vibe.

Very important you take them both off at the same time.

Sounds like rear carrier bearings.
Agreed, Remove both driveshafts and re test.

Oh good, it sounds like you guys are coming over to help. And by help I mean push while we are testing.
