I was under the TJ today and noticed a leak. The fluid looked like engine oil and was dripping off of the steering box pressure hose where it attaches to the steering box. As I followed the hose up, the whole thing was saturated and it appeared to originate from the engine.
Is this an oil leak or a steering reservoir leak?
Also, may or may not be related, there has been a high pitched squeal coming from the engine (not load, but noticeable and only last a minute or so) that comes and goes at around 100km/h. This has all started since the weather dipped below -40...
Any insight would be helpful.
Thanks

All the Tj's I've seen so far are pretty bad for leaking from the power steering pump..

engine oil and power steering fluid ARE NOT THE SAME
your leaking from the power steering pump or reservoir and its leaking down the hoses .. gravity .. fun how it works then driping off the steering box ..
wait a few more months and the box with start leaking at the seals very common very normal just check the fluid leak add some lucas steering leak stop and youll be fine
