I have a 91 yj and a 92 yj as well! Does anyone know how I can tell if they have a 4.0 high output or just a basic 4.0 ?

Renix 4.0l came in 88-90 jeeps and have 3 bolts on the throttle body, not to mention the wiring mess. 4.0l HO came in 91 and up..and have the 4 bolts holding the TB in place...although 91 still had a wiring nightmare underhood..lol

Correct me if im wrong, but aren't all 4.0l yj's h.o. pre h.o was just the 4.2

And you XJ guys are deluded enough to think that anyone other than an XJ guy cares about the difference those shades of red. It's really just a matter of who has parked their XJ in direct sunlight for the longest - after all red paint oxidizes and fades faster than the other colours.

Renix was in the Comanches too.....just saying. :P
