National matched them on my last set of BFG's. They also have an awesome price system for mount and balance.
-
Good to know Tom, Í'll check them out when I get back from holidays next weeek.

Well, no go for National matching Costco's price onj the tires.
-
Are you surprized???
-
Last time I was at Costco they had some retarded policy of not mounting larger than stock tires on a vehicle.

costco in okotoks.......... they don't care.

They have changed that policy. You just have to sign a waiver now to cover their butts. There is noone out there in Canada that I know of that can beat costco pricing. Why not just buy them at Costco?

Tiretrends.com beat Costco by about 20 bucks a tire and that includes shipping to my door
Dodge dealer in Okotoks beat Costco by 10 bucks a tire
Canadian Tire in Okotoks will price match
The problem is the tires are on a nation wide backorder with no production date scheduled.
I emailed BFG to ask when/if they are going to continue production but won't get an answer until at least Monday.
As far as comparing apples to apples, according to the Dodge parts guy (yeah, I know) there is no difference in the tires but Costco buys such a large volumn and they negotiate a deal with BFG that BFG provides no warranty whatsoever and Costco provides their own warranty. Makes sense to me.
I've run 3 sets of the Costco BFG's and have had good success with them.

X2
Wanted a 245/65/17 for my wk, had 235/65/17 on them and they wouldn't put them on. Loosers.

As far as mounting goes. You can just buy the tire outright. You do not pay for mounting, you do not get lifetime balance warranty (who cares?).
i have bought a few sets from Costco. i just load them into my truck and all is good.
As far as National goes they did match the price, so i am more surprised they will not. But like every shop, for a good story, there is a bad one so lets not derail the thread.

I bought 33x10.50 km2 from Summit Racing. $205 each shipped to the border. Costco was $270 each if I remember correctly. No duty, just GST on them. I live in Lethbridge so just an hour drive to go get them from the border.....

Well, I fired an email off the BFG on Friday and got a response this morning.
Actually 2 responses. I got impatient waiting for the email response and phoned them early this morning.
I asked if they were planning a change in the AT KO design and was told no, he also said production of the 35's would start in about 2-3 weeks and the reason for the no stock was the highly unusual size (35x12.50x15).
No sooner did I hang up the phone I got an email response, here it is:
We apologize the BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO in size 35X12.50R15 is on backorder at not available through your local dealers. However, we do not show a production date at this time. Please check back with us in about 4-6 weeks.
We appreciate your loyalty and we apologize for any inconvenience.
Its is our goal to ensure that your issue has been resolved or your question answered to your satisfaction. If we can assist you further, please respond to this email or call us at 1-877-788-8899 (toll free) between 8:00AM and 8:00PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday or between 8:30AM and 4:30PM Eastern Time on Saturday.

So since the 35's are out I ordered a set of 33x12.50x15
I'll probably be selling them before the summers out ;D

Anyone check tread depth of the costco tires?
My Kal Tire rep from years ago said he personally went into Costco and checked the tread depth of different tires and found that most of them had less tread than what he sold in his store. He cited the Yokohama Super Digger in particular as well as a few sports tires.
Now that was 5+ plus years ago and havn't seen him in a long time, but he never screwed us on anything so I tend to believe him.
-
I've never checked the tread depth for comparisons but my last set of Costco BFG's on my Tundra went 70,000km and I checked the depth when I sold them and they had about 40-45% total depth left (not usuable depth).
I got a ridiculous price from Tiretrands.com on a set of 33's, $1094.36 all in delivered to my door within 2 days from when I ordered them.

I've got 4 Costco BFG AT Ko's on my Jeep right now and 1 non Costco BFG AT KO. They have been rotated. I will try to post a tread depth when I can.

You still running the 33x10.50's Jeff?
-
I ran a set of 33x10.5 BFG AT Ko's. Then I went to 33x12.5 Stampede MT's. Now I have both a set of 33x10.5 AT KO's & MT KM2's. As a result of my first set of BFG's I had a spare I never rotated in. This time I'm rotating it in with my new BFG AT KO's.
