I hate to ask but....
My parents are getting in from the East Coast on Saturday. This is their only weekend in Calgary. I'd love to take my Dad out to see some of the high points in MacLean, but can't join the run on Saturday, as they are arriving late in the afternoon.
I have a stock XJ on 30" Sport Kings. Is anyone up for doing an easy little run on Sunday, Monday, or Wednesday (I'm taking a couple days off work)? Just someting short (3 hours or so) would be great. I'll be taking my 3 year old boy too. He loves the Jeep and his Granpa.
The run on Saturday sounds like exactly what I am looking for, but I can't swing it. And I don't want to travel back into the bush on my own.
I doubt this will fit anybody's schedule, but it's worth a try. :)

Hey, I might be game for a mid-week play session. If the weather is nice. Just need to get the winch fixed tonight. Let me know if you want to go.

too bad its not next sunday. I'd be up for a short run then but have to work during the week.

CJSteve, As long as it doesn't rain, I would be interested in doing a run on Wednesday. I'm new to MacLean, so I'm hoping you know your way around some. My XJ is bone stock, with front hooks and a t-case skid. I was supposed to be getting my rear receiver installed today (monday) but had no luck, and I'll be using my XJ tomorrow so no chance for an install then. So, I'm really looking for some light duty trails, adn something fairly short, like I said in my first post. PM me if this works for you.

What a great trail ride! Just what we were looking for. Thank you Steve.
We just headed out to Elbow River Falls, taking a few little side trails along the way. I got a couple of chances to lift a tire, but all in all it was not too challenging, and very scenic. The falls were awesome.
Thanks again. I'll have to take some more time and figure out how to post photos.
