Ha ha ha! We picked up the beater aware year before last in the flower pot! The good news is the flower pot is under construction to be bigger, better, and nastier and meanwhile I've been playing around in the new JKU! The bad news is that we're going to be bumping around Utah and miss this years Show and Shine again.... :(
Good luck to all and have fun!!
-
should we actually shine the Jeep to enter?
-
just a quick question for the show and shine. Havn't been in one yet so i was just wondering if we pre pay before we go or do we pay on the date? And how earlie should i get there?
-
You pay when you get there on the day ... and people usually start showing up around 10am
-
A couple questions.
Is this an open event? or a calgary club members event?
If this is an open event, would it be okay to post up about this event, on a couple of the edmonton sites. See if we can get a few to make the drive down in convoy.

This never gets old.

Less than a week to go!! ;D
Remember, this is open to everyone regardless of what 4x4 you drive. Hope to see everyone there.

Was good to see everyone out there today, until next time.
......and to Tower Chrysler, thanks for the coat.
-
Great turn out, great time, and great work by the volunteers - especially Fraser!
-
It was great. Visited with old friends and new. Mike won the slow race , that was his fourth unimog. It has a crawl ratio of about 4000 to 1. The ultimate oba system, 3000 liters of air per minute.
Is there a list of sponsers?
-
They should all be on the poster on the first page of this thread
-
Just for the record....I had a blast! Also, big thanks for the hat/shirt/pull-over. Looking forward to next year.
-
How many peps regitered?

How many peps regitered?
41 0r 42 registered, with about 20 more not registered. Good turnout considering we were competing with the 100th Stampede and perfect weather down on the grounds.

I just want to thank all of our amazing sponsors for their contributions to the event this year. Without them, there is no way we could even put this event on since they provide the venue and the vast majority of the prizes.
Raj and Katherine from Boomtown
Drew from Modern Motors
Jay from Chanda
Dave from Broken Axle
Stan from Northridge4x4
Rob from Courtesy Chrysler
Keith from Tower Chrysler
Jerry from JustJeeps.com
Joe and Keith from Pats Driveline
Refrew Auto (forgot your name, sorry)
The same goes for everyone who comes down every year to volunteer and help run the event. Without them we wouldn't have any events for people to participate in.
Buki and his wife
Wsquared
Drambuie89
Kanueh
BrokenAxle
Knox
Waytec
1993yj
i_go_commando
FirstTimer
And probably one or two more I'm forgetting right now.
All the attendees as well, every year we have close to or over 50 Jeeps register for the even and more who attend without registering. Just by attending and your contiuned support throughout the year you show our business partners that their involvement in the 4x4 market is appreciated and does not go unnoticed. We have many people who are unaware of the 4x4 community walk through and by interacting with them we put a responsible face on our sport. I saw many people helping each other out with advice for mods or mechanical issues, as well as people explaining to the general public what we are all about. This is what the 4x4 community is all about, people coming together for a good time and helping each other when it is needed.

Had a good time at the event. It was the first time I could attend with my Jeep. It's usually in pieces in the garage. Here's just a few pics I took.
