Rob-Nuxjer will be leading this run, and i may be able to assist if needed but plan to run mid gunner. We do need tail gunners, so post up and we can work out who is doing what.
Hope we can see a good turnout and everyone has a good time.
Rob may have to back out last minute, so if there is a member who wants to volunteer to fill his spot,by all means...
This is a stocker friendly run, and we will try our best to accomodate...if you are unsure..ASK. No bitching cuz your SRT8 WK got wrecked or new JK got a new pinstripe. Its wheeling..suck it up.

Father's Day is ~ June-17-2012 but, the

I might b in depending what fathers day weekend looks like for me, but I am just wondering I will b trailering my jeep there and I am wondering if we r starting from the main staging area just up the road from the store or if we r going around the other way towards widow maker, just so I know where to unload b4 I come meet at the store so I don't hold anyone up
-
Hey Aaron, thanks for posting this up!! I was out of town all weekend ;D.
Yeah folks this is being called the 'Father's Day' run but will be taking place the weekend AFTER Father's Day...the day after the Jeep 101(St. Jean Baptiste day, ooo la la).
I'm doing my best to get out there the evening of the 23rd.
Yes it's true that I've volunteered to lead this event, but to be honest, I have little knowledge of the trails at McLean so if someone more familiar with the trails out there can offer some 'guidance', that'd be much appreciated.
-
I'm in for the Fathers Day Run~June-24 ;D
-
Any idea where we are going? If we are gunna be taking a good trail im in. I'm pretty familiar with all the trails at Mclean Creek. I live 10 Min. away.
-
we will be out there also and are very familiar with the trails.
-
Thinking about heading out there, Jeep is still brand new, but assuming it's a good trail i'll head out there with the wife. From Bragg as well, so am quite familiar with the trails out there. Hopefully I can get the lift installed this week, so the tires stop rubbing.
-
I might be in for this. My plan is to camp for the weekend and do the Jeep 101 as well. I have been out a few times and feel pretty confident but I know there is much to learn.
-
Okay folks....eventhough the weather gods look like they may not be sharing much sunshine this weekend, we've decided to go ahead with this trip. Weather forecasts are famous for being 'inaccurate'. ::)
Please prepare accordingly if you still plan to come out. I'm hoping that we might be blessed with some open sky this weekend but can't count on it.
We'll see who shows up and make reasonable decisions about the day at that time. Still intend to have this as stocker friendly as possible. ;)
-

We were going to camp and decided against it. All it did was rain the whole day it is incredibly wet and greasy out there, I may or may not be showing up for the run tomorrow....I'm just sick of the rain!
-
I'll be there.

Yiup it's still a go. We'll see what it's like when we get there and figure things out accordingly. 8)

Sorry to hear dude - I hope your back gets back in shape quickly.
-
Nothing robax and pilsner hasn't been able to fix, kinda. Hope all went well. Thanks to rob,he mentioned bath salts, and I smoked quite a bit. But it didn't help my back, just made me hungry for human flesh. Odd.
-
Thanks for the great day guys, I know I had a blast, hope to c u all out there again soon

Yep great time today! You need to trade those tractor tires for a set of MTR's :o

I don't think so, I think I just need to move my axles to get a better departure and approach angle

Thanks for a GREAT day in the misty forest folks!!! Ended up with myself, Slewfoot, bradley, Drambuie89, Knox, XXXj, Jrama, K-rock(Karen), Flatlander, CJ350, Kevin(sorry forget your forum name). Did'nt miss anyone did I?
Weather was a bit sketchy in the morning but the skies started clearing up around one and turned into a pretty nice day. Trail conditions were obviously wet but surprisingly good otherwise. Took Sylvester out to Fisher West then headed back to the road.
Had a couple chances for the tires to spin through some mud and a couple off camber spots to stretch out the suspensions...all in all a pretty good day. Some of the folks in the 'bigger' units decided to go by way of the 'tank traps' and had a bit of 'fun'. No carnage that I know of yet but mud darn near up to the mirrors in spots I've been told :o.
Thanks to Darren, Steve and Jamal for helping with co-leading duties. Now that I have a better 'picture' in my head of trail orientation out there, will likely be more willing to lead a few more trips. Still lots to learn ;).
Thanks to all participants for coming out and taking a chance with the weather. Just goes to show ya that we can still have fun without the sun!! ;D And ya don't need to spend tons of $$ on mods to have fun with your Jeep either!!! ;D
