Title: Custom Fabricating
Post by: RookieRecurve on June 15, 2012, 01:53:23 PM
Hey all,

I am looking to get some rock sliders, with steps, custom built.  I looked around on the forum a bit, and did not see any info.  Can  anyone recommend someone in the area that does this type of work?  Specifically someone who understands the needs of off-roaders?

Thanks in advance.

i was on the tipping point about calling him knowing i have enough skill and talent to do about 90% of what i need to do, but i seen the quality and care that he did to your project.  I was sold.  I can't make it look that good, and I don't think I can get it that strong.

Thanks guys.  I sent him a message via Facebook.  I will post some pics of the finished product if I end up getting him to fab it.

I managed to get some beefy sliders/running boards built from someone in the US.  It seems everyone in Alberta was too busy to entertain this project.  There is a reasonable demand for such a product, so if anyone ever builds a jig, and starts making these, I am sure they could fill a lot of orders!  Mine ended up as bolt-ons, but are mounted lower than I cared for them to be.  It seems the e-brake cable location was an issue.  If you are interested, I could post pics of what I have?
