Title: TJ suspension lean
Post by: Knox on August 16, 2012, 11:11:11 AM
So anyone have issues with a passenger side lean? Been reading about it one few other sites and due to engine torque the passenger Side springs will sag over time...

So my jeeps sitting an inch down on the right front and rear, what do most people do for this? Just swap spring sides, add/remove spacers? I could do new springs and was thinking about picking up OME coils but they seems to be a bad culprit for this as much as RC is. I'm happy with the amount of lift so I'd like I stay in tw 2.5-3" range suspension wise for my daily driver

Have the same thing on mine.   I just turn my head until things are level again...

its not just from torque, the engine is slightly offset to the passanger side as well. ACOS adjustable coil spacers work well, I had them on my  x - J to fix the same issue and I wanted 1.5" more lift.

I had my Tjs front drivers wheel off the ground yesterday, but that was a combination of speed and the corner, not so much sag on passenger side haha

I've had 2 different lifts on my Jeep and they both had the "lean". It's a Jeep thing. The only thing you can do is ditch the coils/shocks and go big with coil overs.

You need to put leaf springs on all four corners to get it sit level.

And this is why our XJs also lean? But more front to back to compensate for the amount of crap we can fit in em ;)
