Title: Will I damage my tranny moving my Heep with no fluid in it??
Post by: dubbleJs on September 10, 2012, 02:19:25 PM
Hey guys, dumb question... Can I move my XJ around the garage with no tranny fluid and not cause harm? My front pump or something is leaking out of the bellhousing after last wheelin trip so I drained all the fluid and am going to have to pull the tranny out and get it figured.. >:(

Long story short I need to pull it out of the garage to move another project in for tonight, will running it through a couple gears into the alley cause any damage??

If its a standard and your just pulling it out and in then no you won't damage it.

If its an auto, the jeep won't move. If it does then do not drive it with low fluid.
