Pulley is new, alt is new, belt is new. Cannot figure out what it squeals.
Any tips?

im dying to make a belt dressing comment....but seriously...you sure you tightened the tensioner enough? could still be slipping and squeeling

I had a Dakota with the same issue until the water pump exploded. Check for play on the water pump by pulling on the fan.

I was thinking the same thing... ;D
Xj's need a lot of tension on the belt to keep them quiet. As long as the belt is dry too. Also it may need to be adjusted after a few days as the new belt will stretch a little

I just put a new belt in last weekend and it's doing that now... I thought it was tight enough but It's true the XJ need alot of tension... I'll crank her a bit more.

Also, once you have the belt off, rotate each of the pulleys to make sure that one isn't binding. Obviously it would need to be replaced and better now than it imploding on the trail somewhere!
