Hello All,
Looking to go out to Waiparous January 12th (Sat). I haven't had much chance to explore the area in the winter so trail ideas are welcome.
Requirements:
Vehicle
- Proper front/rear tow points,
- Willingness to air down your tires to under 20 PSI
- Basic understanding of driving your Jeep off road
- Good condition Mud or Winter tires
- Jeep in good condition
- CB Radio OR handheld FRS radio (I have a few extra FRS if some people need to borrow one)
- Full tank of gas upon meeting in the morning
Other
- Warm clothes for all the occupants of the vehicle
- Lunch or snacks for yourself
Considerations
- Thinking about doing a wiener roast while on the trail so bring a roasting stick and some hot dogs. (Foldy chairs may be a good idea too!)
- Please be aware that it will most likely be dark for the drive back so be prepared for that.
- This will be stock friendly so don't come expecting the jk-experience.
Time
- Looking to meet at the Smittys in Cochrane for 8:00-8:30 AM. If I feel earlier or later is better I will let everyone know.
Hope to see some rigs out!

I would be game for a saturday ride! but i dont have a cb radio quite yet.... :-\

Can always use an FRS for the ride. The basic concept is that you are in contact with at least one other person that has a CB. Makes for a safer and more pleasant ride for all.
I might be up for a hotdog run that day. Margaret Lake is always a nice easy one, or you can head out to the falls as well I will no more towards Wednesday if I will be able to pull it off. If I can do it I am more than happy to lead or tailgun
One thing to remember...........it may say Stocker Friendly but anything can happen offroading so be prepared and be safe.

Sounds like it could be interesting

i do believe i have a set

What time you planning to be back for?
-
Thinking about being back in Cochrane at 6:30 depending on trails run, stops taken etc.
-
I might have to be back a bit earlier than that but i can find my own way out!
-
Arrgghhh...would love to do this but ..... gots to work that day!
-
Im in, ill be leaving early with at least one other.
-
just wondering if the ride is still on with the current snow conditions

Hey all,
I'm still looking to go out. Deep snow or not it will be an adventure, we will have to assess the trails once we get out there to see how deep we want to go.
Time is as planned. (If you want Smittys breakfast - come earlier)
Look forward to seeing some people out1

Dude. Soooo much better. I bloody wish I was able to head out with you boys. This would be the bestest ;) wheeling day ever.

Absolutely fantastic run today. Thanks to everyone that was able to make it out. Deep snow, fresh tracks and a trip to the Falls from Waipress Valley Road and then on to Margaret Lake and then back to hwy 40 via Lost Knife trail :)
