Title: Rear end swap help!

Hey everyone, I got a 98 jeep cherokee 2door with the dana 30 up frony amd the chrysler 8.25 rear. The rear is making a lot of noise when coasting and I'm afraid it might be on its last legs. Would a 8.25 from a 93 xj work in my 98?

Yep, the older one will be 27 spline instead of 29 however. Basically the axle shafts will be marginally weaker but it would work just fine.
