Title: ZJ pitman arm on a YJ?
Post by: HIWYH8R on May 24, 2006, 08:38:10 PM
I think I read somewhere you could use a Grand Cherokee pitman arm (which looks too be a 3 or 4 inch drop) on a YJ. Are the steering boxes the same, same splines? That would be nice if I could find a used or junkyard one for my 94 YJ for 20-30 bucks as opposed to 80-90 bucks for a new drop pitman arm after lifting mine 4". The bumpsteer kinda sucks with my stock pitman.

Anyone happen to have one in my price range?

TJ YJ XJ ZJ are all the same spline. An XJ pitman arm is the same as the ones supplied with a TJ 4" lift kit. A ZJ pitman arm is 1" longer than an XJ pitman arm. Make any sense?
