What shops are reliable to get accurate alignment info on jeeps? I want to get a baseline of where I'm at currently so I can make the right adjustments and as most of you know, it's hard to get an accurate measurement of caster on the front axle at home...no truely reliable spot on the front axle to put an angle finder. thanks

Those broken axle guys are handy with that stuff... :)

What kind of equipment are you running for alignments and how much for a printout of my current specs? I don't want any changes made, just want to know my current specs.

I have had really good service at Kirks off blackfoot but that was of course before Dave at Broken Axle had his fangled new machine :D

You should be accurate within less then half a degree using a finder across the ribbing on the bottom of the knuckle.
You only need to measure one side. Measuring the otherside is just a means of confirming your work and getting an idea of how severe your cross caster is.
Considering you would have difficulty telling anyone the difference between 3 and 7 degrees of caster on any given TJ, you really arent accomplishing anything by getting a computer to tell you your caster.
just my 2 cents

That's exactly where I was measuring caster from...getting a reading of roughly 6 degrees which should be good for my set up on 33" tires. I was just debating on confirming my measurements as most of the gurus on JF suggest that there is NO reliable place on a TJ front axle to accurately measure caster...I'm going to test drive when I'm done and see how she feels.

Yeah those ribs will do. It's all relative. Even if its truly 4 when your finder says 6, it's just a reference anyways. You dial up or down from there in order to get it to your liking anyways.
