Hi all, My name is Dan, I'm new to Calgary Jeep and I just ordered my first Jeep! A 2013 Rubicon Unlimited, Commando Green. While I patiently wait for delivery I thought I ask a question. I'm not a big fan of the '13 Rubi rims. What I would like to do is put on a set of old school steelies like the ones on the Jeep JT truck from way back in '07. Question is where do I go in Calgary to get them? I emailed Stockton Wheels in California who supplied the original JT rims but they wanted to charge me $1500 for 5 custom rims. I thought that was pretty pricey plus who knows what duty charges once they crossed the border! Any thoughts on steel rims in Calgary? Thanks.

No duty if made in the US, Canada or Mexico, you'll pay GST though.

Ah yes, no duty in NA free trade zone, forgot about that. I'll check with National 4WD, KalTire, Fountain Tire & Blaskin first and if not I may have to suck it up and order from Stockton or Summit.

No duty, but you'll get nailed hard on brokerage.
Check out www.zoneoffroad.com. I know they had some really good prices on steel wheels. Shipping wasn't bad either.

x2 on Zone. A set of 15x8 with any offset was only $25 delivery for all 4 to Calgary and the rims were only $64 each, $74 for the 15x10

Brokerage fees, I forgot about that bit of nastiness. All the more reason to buy local if possible. I looked at the Zone Offroad website. They have US wheels but they're not exactly what I'm looking for. The search continues....

If they ship with UPS which specializes in ripping people off ya pull get hosed in brokerage. Ship freight with DHL
