Title: 1998 XJ cherokee value
Post by: Volt on March 08, 2013, 09:01:58 PM: Hello calgary Jeep! Helping a friend sell a 1998 Cherokee sport, looking for insight on what we should ask for it. Some details-

1998 Sport model. 4 door, very dark grey, 4.0l inline six cylinder, automatic, 3 mode 4x4, air conditioner, cruise, tilt, manual windows and locks, tinted glass

It has around 131,000 kms, tires like new, clean inside, good body with no rust and a few roof and hood hail dimples that only add character ;)

It runs great!

Besides, we picked up her new Equinox this morning and have no room for parking anyway! :'(

I agree Bill, that Jeep should fetch at least $2,500-$3,000 all day long.

It was a whisker away from going to the donate a car program, that would have been a waste but when all the reply's and offers from this thread were in the $500 range it just wasn't worth bothering with. We really thought all you guys were serious! My friend is happy to hear it's worth a bit of $$ ;D

Just need to clean er up and throw it online. I was a bit wrong on some of the info so in case anybody here is interested.

Its a 1999 Cherokee sport 4 door, grey, 130,xxx kilos, V6 4.0, automatic, it has a/c cruise and tint. NO power windows or locks. Tires were new in October, had a out of province inspection done from BC last june and had over $1900 repairs. It runs well and starts in all weather. Needs a windshield old one is cracked. My friend bought it when it was 3 yrs old in Kelowna.
We found a place to park while it sells at a friends place near Sait, that where you can see it! PM me and I'll give you an address.
Asking $3500 OR BEST OFFER....but sorry to all the $500 guys! some of you're buddy's on here were honourable enough to tell me its worth more! THANK YOU! :-*
