Title: Starting issues in the tj
Post by: EviLAnTo on March 13, 2013, 03:13:56 AM
It happened to me the other day and again tonight leaving work.
I go to start the jeep nothing happens, the parking brake light comes on and when I leave the key in the accessorie position then
I can hear a clicking coming from behind the dash on the passenger side. I took the key back out and tried about four five more times then all the sudden the dash lights came on and she started up no problem.

Anyone else have a similar issue seems to happen only when it's cold out, I was thinking bad battery connection or a bad relay or fuse.
Thoughts?

Check your battery terminals, especially ground. I'd just change out terminals and clean the grounds. Then update this post

X2 on terminals. Had an old vw that did this, randomly wouldn't start at gas stations etc. Finally after replacing a $2 battery terminal problem was solved. Had a small crack underneath it barely visible. My point? Start simple AND cheap ;)
