Hey everyone,
I got hooked on "jeeping" this winter down in Arizona just outside of Phoenix. Some friends of mine took me out on some of the trails down there. I had a blast, and want to keep it up now that I'm back home in Calgary. All the guys down there ran either TJ's or JK's. I'd probably stick with one of those, as I have lots of trustworthy people I could turn to for advice.
So I'm wondering what the trails are like up here? Especially in the Calgary area. Is it possible to hook up with someone for a "ride along", before I fully commit to buying a rig?

A good bunch of trails and OHV areas within a couple hours driving from Calgary. TJ will be a better choice to start with. You can get them in good shape for a lot less then a JK right now. New parts are cheap and plentiful as are used parts and aftermarket upgrades.
Keep an eye on the open run section, post up to see if a spare seat is available.
Wheeling out here is nothing like Arizona but its still a very good time.

Welcome. The open runs section is quite busy come may. It sounds like you have the right attitude. I think a tj is your best buy right now like hps says. I hope to see you on the trails this year. Take a winch wench seat. You can get pretty lost out there. I still do ;)

Thanks Mike. Ha ha, "winch wench seat"...love it! :) I'll definitely keep my eyes on that forum in the next month or so.
