Title: wj lost keys

So the kid had the keys to the wj. And now they're gone. Its a transponder key. Do I have to go to the dealer and get bent ovrr on a new punched keys or do I have any ogher option?

Any decent lock smith should be able to cut one and program it. Last one I had done was $100.

as far as I recall to program a blank you had to have 2 spares... I could be wrong and also have been bent over backwards... but I seem to recall the blanks are 5 bucks on Ebay if you had 2 other keys to program a third...

I read thw same thing. With two good keys you can program  up to8keys for one vehicle.  The issue is I've got no keys. Ill see what the local locksmith  has tosay in the morning.
