Title: Swaping transmission

Thinking of swaping  a trans from a 2000 Dakota to a 88 Cherokee. Is this a fairly easy project for a first timer.

This depends on alot of factors.  What tranny is currently in the XJ? AX-5?  what are you looking to swap in?  AX-15?

Not sure if it is the BA-10/5  or the AX5 how could I tell the difference.

If you can't figure out how to tell the difference, it won't be an easy swap
