From back in the day when there was no equipment, so people had to develop skills instead of buying their way over obstacles. I know, that sounds rich coming from a guy who's first Jeep came with a 4:1 transfer case and lockers...but I learned to offroad in a Ford 1-ton with bald tires.
I used to work with an old mud hand who started working in the oilpatch when the standard for mud hand's transportation was a 2WD station wagon and a set of tire chains.

How cool was that. I wonder if those things had a spool in the back. ;)
Too bad most oil wells in Canada don't kick like that one did.

im impressed with how much those tires dug through the mud... I want those tires lol.

i like how they just roll it back on its tires and no body damage. They also were smart enough to have the windows rolled down too.

Nice to have the doors and roof strong enough to not require a roll cage.

Well that settles it, my next set of tires are going too be 33 x 6 r20's!!!!! Things be going through anything!
