Title: Short shifter DIY
Post by: Marco on June 19, 2013, 09:38:16 AM
Decided to try this and see if it works. My transmission was out anyway from a clutch job but its not necessary. Seem to make the shifting shorter but i havent tried it on the street yet haha
Making a template:

cut up some 1/2" strips i found at Can tire for $3

weld strips together

cut small piece of rod for the extension

cut the shifter rod above the ball somewhere and ad in the extension piece you cut. (1/2" to match the the other spacer metal)

as long as you have a 1/2" spacer of some sort its a fine.
