Title: CB Antenna

Bought a Cobra CB radio. What's your recommendations on an antenna to go with it? Any advice re makes, type, lenght and installation position etc ?

Wilson 4' flex. They tend to break a lot less than the more rigid antennas. As to where to mount it, that depends on what sort of rig you have.

Another (old school) option is a 9' stainless steel whip...but that requires more thought on the mounting, and can be dangerous for bystanders.

Gone through 6 or 7 fiberglass / flex antennaes over the years. All internal wire breaks. All where between 18 to 36 inches with a spring on the bottom for flex. Now have three foot stainless and no spring.
